Newsletters

For the year that the grant covered our expenses, we had 6 printed newsletters which were mailed to everyone we had addresses for.  We also mailed meeting reminders on post cards.  Due to the nature of a disaster every time we did a mailing, we recieved at least 10% of them back... even though we put full price, first class postage on each mailing.  Collecting addresses is one of the most frustrating parts of disaster recovery, but with the help of the Tax Assessor's office (for reporting public record information) and the citizens of the area, we did a very reasonable job.

Although we are no longer doing print mailings, please email us with your updated information so we can keep in touch. I am still sending out sporatic email mailings (see below).

In mid-November 2004 we were awareded a small grant by The Community Foundation ($340) to help publish the next newsletter!  It was actually all of the money they had left from their Fire Fund started soon after the 2003 wildfire.  We want to sincerely thank them for recognizing our work in the community!

Email Update

The email update has evolved from one person simply sending email's to the group whenever something came up to a more formal weekly newsletter format.  You may sign up for our email list by sending an email to info@oldfirerecoverygroup.org
