Subject: weekly update

Please remember that there will be no meetings until January 9.  I probably won't send weekly updates either unless I find something absolutely fabulous!  Have a Happy Holiday!

A couple of people have said they want to volunteer their labor to help others rebuild.  If anyone is doing an owner build and wants help, please let me know!  I do know that Rebuild San Bernardino County will be using volunteer labor when they start construction.  Feel free to contact them at www.rebuildsanbernardinocounty.org.

Did anyone have remove a fire damaged tree from the county easement in front of their house?  Have you tried to get reimbursed by the county?  What happened?

Debbie Curry from Golondrina Dr had the following to say:
If anybody has to have brick or block wall work done I would like to recommend Willie R. Jimenez and Sons Masonry. We hired them to replace our side retaining wall. They came out when they said they would, did a little more work than anticipated, finished when they said they would, and cleaned up when they were done. I hired them on a referral from a friend at work and can't say enough about them. The phone number is (909) 889-8492.

In case you didn't get this in the last email... if you were going to create a Q&A or FAQ (frequently asked questions) for the next group of disaster survivors, what questions would you ask or want answered?

Feel free to list questions without answers.
