I want to remind everyone about an
announcement I sent out last week regarding a hearing entitled "Up In
Smoke: Can More Be Done to Help Fire Survivors Settle Their Claims?" in
San Diego by the State Senate Insurance Committee. It is on Monday
November 15 at 7PM at 2100 Greenfield Drive in El Cajon CA. We need as
many survivors there as possible so please take the time to come to this
important event.

I have printed the next newsletter and am in the
process of posting them. I hope to get them out before Saturday. If
you'd really like to read it early, you can visit our web site at www.oldfirerecoverygroup.org and
click on "Newsletters". I have also applied for the last crumbs of a grant
from The Community Foundation who collected money around the time of the fire
for organizations who help fire survivors. There was only a couple hundred
dollars left in the fund and I hope to acquire it to pay for our next
mailing. It will really help extend our budget!

I am in the process of trying to line up some speakers to talk
to us about design and rebuilding. So far I have an interior designer
named Denise Turner who will come on Dec 12 and start with "The Basics of
Interior Design" and I am also going to work on an architect and maybe even a
landscaping expert. Stay tuned for updated schedules.
