The Hunt: Getting Started
Port Royal

After you get your own map, go to the special website listed on the map. I will only be going over the US game, although from the activity on the newsgroups it seems that there are differences depending on the country you are in.

1. You might notice that this is a fairly large board with about 6 things to click on. Specifically,
      - Home
      - Join
      - About the Hunt
      - Prize
      - Special Offers
      - The Movie
   Although you can't see the entire board at once, I have stuck one together using a paint program. Please note that during the game, I was so intent on the actual puzzles that I didn't even notice anything on the board except the actual treasure map.
   
2. To start the game, click on the red wax seal marked "Join the hunt here"
   
3. You will now see the screen where you have to type in the unique code from your own map. Type in your code and click "Enter". I've heard there were other generic words you could use to get in like "blackpearl" but if you intend to win, you will need a map.
   
4. You will be prompted to read the rules and accept the terms. Check the box and click "accept". You can read the rules HERE.
   
5. And register your contact information (this is how they will contact you if you win... use real information if you are playing for real).
   
6. The next screen confirms your registration.
   
7. You will receive in your email, the following clue:
   Roll the dice until they're twelve
   Our destiny reveals itself
8. Go back to the main site and take a look at the game board. Notice there are a pair of dice on the board. Click on each until you roll a 12.
   
   HINT: You must roll one and then the other until they are 12. If you try to roll one until it's a 6 and then the other, it will not work. This does take patience. You have to roll the dice many times before it actually rolls a 12, but it will get there... just keep rolling.
9. Once you roll a 12 notice how the dice land right around the word "Sea"
   
10. Drag the red card from the side of the board. Type in the word "sea" and click Enter. You will be sent to the next map that says "Find Bermuda on the map".
    
11. It helps to kind of know where Bermuda is. It's basically off of the coast of Florida. Notice when you hover your mouse over the island it becomes "click-able".
12. Click on the island of Bermuda. A new window will pop up. You are now entering your first official location of the Sargasso Sea. Click on 01 above for information on how to solve the next puzzle.
